Very rich group of cinnabar crystals, well defined, rich in faces, with a really intense red color that grows when the light crosses them. They are accompanied by several crystals of dolomite. Very aesthetic specimen.
These specimens were collected in an outcrop situated between the villages of Malpartida de Corneja and Casillas de Chicapierna, in Ávila. They are floating crystals of twinnen orthoclase (Karlsbad) those have been partially or totally pseudomorphized by quartz. They present visible forms of the twin, with altered faces with curious cavities. Some specimens still preserve an orthoclase crystal core. This pseudomorphosis is very unusual.

A very rich specimen of Ardennite-(As), a rare silicate arsenate of manganese and aluminum, which has the type locality in this Belgian town. Formed by some aggregates in parallel growth of prismatic flattened crystals, intense color between orange to yellow and luster. They are included in a quartz matrix with hematite. Collect samples is currently prohibited and specimens are very difficult to find (I know it). From the collection of P. Van Hee.
Epidote crystal of a really good size (also for this locality), very sharp and with parallel growths, developed prism, striated. Near doubly terminated. The terminal faces are well defined by various pinacoids. The brightness is excellent and the intense green color can be observed when the light strikes the crystals. Of a little represented locality in the collections.
Excellent specimen of Ardennite-(As), a rare silicate arsenate of manganese and aluminum, which has the type locality in this Belgian town. Formed by aggregates in parallel growth of prismatic flattened crystals, intense color between orange to yellow and luster. They are included in a quartz matrix. Collect samples is currently prohibited and specimens are very difficult to find (I know it). From the collection of P. Van Hee.
Group of blue quartz crystals, bright, some of them forming complex groups and other ones isolated, doubly terminated. They show short prisms along with developed terminal rhombohedral faces. Intense blue gray color due to amphibole inclusions. The matrix is partially covered with magnesium-riebeckite fibers. Very aesthetic specimen.
Group of very sharp and well defined rhombohedral crystals of smithsonite. With an nice luster, transparent to translucent and a nice pink color. On a matrix with pyrite. Aesthetic specimen from Tsumeb.
Very brilliant specimen of arsenopyrite with quartz from this classic Asturian locality. It presents a matrix with quartz and pyrite, and in the cavities several good sized quartz crystals accompanied by small but brilliant arsenopyrite crystals. Spanish classic.
Anapaite nodules of the Bellver de la Cerdanya area are a classic of the Catalan and European mineralogy. The materials where these nodules appear are part of the filling of a deep lake of the upper Miocene that developed in the southern part of the Cerdanya basin.
This specimen presents a good size nodule, with an internal part with a septaria structure, completely covered by small but very brilliant and transparent green crystals of this rare iron and calcium phosphate. We will send both parts and if you want you can preserve them closed... :)
Scolecite and aerinite specimens from this small Aragonese town are known worldwide. This specimen shows groups of acicular prismatic crystals those form globular aggregates which, when extracted, they allow us to see the radiated growths perfectly. Snowy white color and good luster. Samples of this quality and size are rare and less nowadays.
Hisingerite is a rare hydrated iron hydroxylsilicate and its type locality is Riddarhyttan (Sweden), near from this specimen locality we offer. This sample shows radial laminar aggregates with an intense dark brown to almost black color, with metallic luster. Specimens of hisingerite are very rare and this piece is from the collection of Renaud Vochten (1933-2012), a well-known Belgian collector of mineralogical rarities. This specimen was adquired by Mr. Vochten in 1975 to V. H. Sørensen.
Very rich group of wulfenite crystals, prismatic to tabular, intense orange color with color zoning. This specimen comes from the type locality for the species: Bleiberg, and it is accompanied by an old label: A. Bohländer, pharmacist. In the label we can read "gelbblei" or yellow lead, old name for this species. A historical specimen, from the type locality, with good size and quality... There is a very interesting article about this classic mining locality in mindat: "Collecting Minerals at Bad Bleiberg" by Rudolf Hasler.
Celestine crystals from this locality are very appreciated by the collectors of Spanish minerals for their color, brilliance and definition of faces. This specimen shows several celestine crystals of good size, "prismatic", with well defined rhombohedron faces, translucent and with a visible sky blue color. They are disposed on a matrix with calcite scalenohedral crystals. Nowadays it is not easy to find crystals with this size and quality from this locality.
Group of fluorite crystals, with cubic forms truncated in the edges by the dodecahedron. Brilliant to dull, transparent to translucent, with color zonation between colorless to violet depending on the type of incident light. They are disposed on a matrix with quartz crystals.
Group of scapolite (meionite) crystals, one of them of good size, that show the prism and dipyramidal faces. With pearlescent luster and a very characteristic ivory color for the specimens of this Canadian locality. They are accompanied by inclusions of diopside. The specimen has been analyzed and the results will be sent to the buyer. Slightly fluorescent under shortwave UV light. A classic specimen difficult to see in the market.
Rich group of very elongated mimetite crystals, some of them doubly terminated, brilliant, translucent and with a soft yellow tone. Mimetite specimens with this shape are unusual in Ojuela mine, usually globular. They are accompanied by aggregates of tiny yellow to orange crystals of tsumcorite-arsenbrackebuschite. They are disposed in a cavity of the goethite matrix. The specimen has been analyzed and the results will be sent to the buyer. It has been published in the mineral magazine "Paragénesis" (1-2017).
A very sharp anatase crystal showing the tetragonal dipyramid, truncated by the pinacoidal faces. Brilliant, with almost black color but with bluish reflections, metallic luster. The crystal has a small damage in the back edge, which does not affect aesthetics. With a minor quartz crystals matrix. These crystals appear in the Alpine fissures, most of which are found in the Hardangervidda National Park. A classic European piece from many years ago.
From a Bulgarian mine rarely represented in collections we offer this interesting specimen of pyrite with very unusual cubic forms. The crystals have a tabular shape with terminal faces of the octahedron. They are very aerially disposed on a matrix with quartz crystals. A crystallographic and locality rarity.
A good sized almandine crystal from this not well known Galician locality. Crystals usually appear included in a green schistose matrix. They show defined dodecahedron faces and rounded edges. With a deep red color. From a recent find.
A very rich specimen formed by several aggregates of acicular to prismatic pyromorphite crystals with an intense green color and silky luster. On a rocky matrix. A French classic from old "times".
On a matrix of stalactitic goethite, with a deep brown color, numerous prismatic crystals of pyromorphite are disposed, many of them doubly terminated, between translucent to transparent and with a delicate green color. The specimens of this Italian mine are very unusual in the market. Very interesting and aesthetic speciumen.
The baryte specimens of this Italian mine, which finished its work in the 80's, are considered among the best European classics for the species. This specimen presents a rich group of tabular crystals, with sharp edges and faces, excellent transparence and a superb toasted honey color. It emphasizes among them a crystal of more than 5 cm. Nowadays it is very difficult to find these samples with this quality. An European classic.
Group of calcite crystals disposed isolated on a matrix of brilliant quartz crystals. These calcite crystals show forms of the prism and rhombohedron in the terminal faces, with a slightly darker core related to the scalenohedron. It is an old specimen from a classic locality for Catalan mineralogy.
