Very aesthetic specimen formed by acicular globular aggregates and fan-shaped aurichalcite crystals, with an intense blue color. They are filling the cavities of the limonite matrix with a intense contrast. With an old label from this ancient natural science store located in the center of the city of Barcelona.
A superb, well-balanced spray of amethyst crystals from the famous Guerrero locality. An aesthetic cluster of colored amethyst crystals, representing fine color from this deposit, in crystals which are still gemmy and translucent. Not easy to find nowadays. Ex. J.M. Manchion collection.
Very esthetic specimen formed by numerous aggregates of crystals of calcite manganoan, very bright, transparent to translucent, forming globular groups very well set on the matrix. They present a slightly pinkish tone due to the presence of Mn. Extremely fluorescent under LW-UV, with a spectacular pink to red color. They are accompanied by small octahedral cubic crystals of colorless and transparent fluorite. In a matrix of bright crystals of pyrite, sphalerite and galena. An exceptional piece.
Very rich specimen of rhodo, formed by several gemmy, rose-red elongated rhombohedrons covering the matrix on this fine, fine quality sample from the famous 1970s and 1980s finds at Santa Eulalia. Observed under magnification we can see that elongated faces are semidull and terminal rhombohedrons are brilliant and transparent. Color is really good. Not easy to find in the market specimens with this quality.
This is a esthetic and good size hydrozincite specimen, very rich from Ojuela mine. Quite attractive, with little snowy balls formed by several crystals of the mineral have formed in shallow recesses in a contrasting matrix of limonite. Really nice under loupe... Hydrozincite forms in the oxidation zones of zinc deposits as masses or crusts. Excol. Hubin (B).
These specimens from Zacatecas are among the most well-known jamesonites in the world, nowadays not easy to find in the marked. This piece features superb, acicular groups of steel-grey jamesonite with brilliant pyrite and quartz crystals. From the former Hubin collection, Belgium.
Very rich specimen formed by numerous prismatic crystals of wulfenite, with orange color. They are brilliant and disposed on the matrix. A specimen more than aesthetic historical, fine quality and from a classic Mexican locality.
Aesthetic group of prismatic crystals of adamite, with good transparence and intense color. Crystals forming sheaves and isolated, defined. They are disposed on a matrix of goethite, with cavities partially covered by small globular aggregates of yellow tsumcorite-brackebuschite.
Very rich specimen formed by numerous prismatic crystals of wulfenite, with orange color zoning. They are brilliant and disposed very aerially on the matrix. It is accompanied by calcite, which in the back part of the specimen partially covers the crystals of wulfenite, with small aggregates of yellowish arsenatian vanadinite crystals, curiously close to pyromorphite. We will send the analysis to the buyer. A specimen more than aesthetic historical, fine quality and from a classic Mexican locality.
Rich group of very elongated mimetite crystals, some of them doubly terminated, brilliant, translucent and with a soft yellow tone. Mimetite specimens with this shape are unusual in Ojuela mine, usually globular. They are accompanied by aggregates of tiny yellow to orange crystals of tsumcorite-arsenbrackebuschite. They are disposed in a cavity of the goethite matrix. The specimen has been analyzed and the results will be sent to the buyer. It has been published in the mineral magazine "Paragénesis" (1-2017).
Exceptional specimen formed by several groups of prismatic crystals of adamite, which are disposed forming rosettes on a matrix of goethite. Crystals have a very uniform yellow color, with transparence, and very defined faces and edges. Pure aesthetic.
A huge size danburite specimen totally different from what we can usually find from this Mexican locality. Formed by a large group of prismatic crystals, which have different faces of the orthorhombic prism, with very defined terminal faces. Good transparency in most crystals, others are translucent. They are disposed on a matrix of good size chalcopyrite crystals, some of them partially covered by iridescent bornite. A museum piece.
Everybody knows about Milpillas secondary copper minerals, but this locality is not well-known by the complex pyrite crystals coated by bornite. We propose one of the few specimens I have seen. In this sample we can see the dominant forms of the cube, but also the octahedron, surrounded by trapezohedron and possibly the dodecahedron on edges. Bright and well disposed in a solid matrix. It is a true crystallographic gem.
Superb adamite crystal, vey brilliant, yellow color, curved faces and showing terminal facets on both ends. It is disposed in a very esthetic form on a matrix of goethite. Good size and quality.
A very rich group of mimetite globular aggregates, with yellow tone and brilliant. Acompanied by hemimorphite lanceolated crystals of hemimorphite, transparence and brilliance.
A rich group of doubly terminated crystals of wulfenite showing prismatic growth truncated by the terminal pinacoid. They show an intense orange to yellow color and are disposed on a matrix of limonite partially covered by olive green mottramite. A good size specimen and very aesthetic.
An aesthetic amethyst group of quartz (var. amethyst) crystals, very aerial disposed, with an exceptional brilliance, and showing geometric color zoning, ghost shape. A miniature with a great quality. A classic from a Mexican locality.
Groups of brilliant hemimorphite crystals forming fan-shaped aggregates, transparent, colorless and very well defined lanceolated crystalline forms. They are accompanied by small rhombohedral calcite crystals and small mimetite globular aggregates with a yellow tone. On a limonite matrix.
Group of wulfenite crystals from the well-known mina Ahumada (Chihuahua) showing intense color and luster and very marked tetragonal shape with rounded edeges. A very aesthetic specimen.
In this specimen we can observe two generations of aurichalcite. A first generation as small rosettes formed by lanceolate greenish crystals and second with thiner crystals, needle-like, some of which are included in rhombohedral calcite crystals, with a light blue color. Stand in a very aesthetic way on the matrix of goethite. A very balanced sample.
Rich group of quartz crystals (var. amethyst) those show good transparency and color zoning on the terminal top faces, colorless in the prism. Very well defined and developed prism faces. Aerially disposed on a matrix with small crystals of quartz and epidote. Very aesthetic miniature.
Very aesthetic group of aerial malachite crystals pseudomorphic after azurite showing a tabular shape with rounded faces. Color is deep green with a very well marked velvet luster. Good specimen from Milpillas.
A huge size specimen showing botryoidal aggregates of rosasite, with a velvet appearance and intense blue-green pastel tones. They are peppered with small but brilliant calcite crystals with a pseudooctahedron shape. On a limonite matrix.
Group of lenticular calcite crystals, very transparent and brilliant, with an uncommon shape for the species due to the flattened hexagonal shape. Disposed very aerial on the limonite matrix with hemimorphite.
A rich druse of cuprian adamite crystals which is completely covering the cavity in limonite. With stalactitic growths showing an intense blue-green color. They are peppered by small white globular aggregates of smithsonite, along with areas of rosasite green. Accompanied by globular aggregates of conichalcite and very defined cuprian adamite crystals. An interesting specimen with good size.
