Amazing specimen of clinoatacmite that shows several groups of pseudohexagonal crystals of really good size. With an intense and deep green color, brilliant and with some transparence, some twinned. They are disposed as isolated groups that stand out on a matrix of hyaline quartz crystals, with blue-green tones due to the chrysocolla and malachite they're are covering. An great an exceptional piece.
Aesthetic specimen that shows several clinoatacamite crystals, with a pseudorhombohedral shape, with an intense green color, brilliance and transparence, some twinned. They are disposed as isolated individuals those stand on a matrix of brilliant quartz crystals, with blue tones due to the chrysocolla and green due to the malachite. A remarkable piece from this Peruvian mine (enjoy pictures).
Very rich group of sharp clinoatacamite crystals, many of them isolated, very well defined faces and edges, interpenetrated, with pseudohexagonal and octahedral forms. Very brilliant and with some transparence. They are disposed on a matrix formed by brilliant quartz covering aggregates of deep green malachite crystals and chrysocolla. Peppered with scalenohedral crystals of calcite. A very aesthetic and interesting specimen of good size. I like Peruvian clinotacamite...
Very curious specimen formed by a sharp rossette formed by clinoatacamite crystals, with an intense green color, with pseudohexagonal forms. They are disposed on a brilliant matrix covered by quartz crystals and chrysocolla.
A huge size specimen formed by a rich groups of brilliant and sharp atacamite crystals, showing elongated prisms, intense green color and with transparence. In thsi specimen we have not found clinoatacamite (oops) but under loupe we can enjoy very well faceted crystals, really amazing. Accompanied by scalenohedral calcite transparent crystals and with brilliant quartz that is covering the blue chrysocolla and malachite. A really aesthetic display specimen.
Brilliant specimen of this Peruvian mine with a good size. It is a druse of quartz and calcite crystals, very bright and showing a bluish tone due to they are covering chrysocolla. Over them, we can see numerous groups of bright green clinoatacamite crystals. Well defined faces and edges, interpenetrating and isolated. A fine quality specimen, colorfull and with aesthetics.
A very nice specimen with an intense green globular aggregate of malachite partially covered with quartz, perfectly disposed on a matrix of brilliant quartz crystals and chrysocolla. Excellent brilliance and good aesthetics.
Good sized specimen that shows large groups of clinoatacamite crystals with pseudorhombohedral shape, with intense green color, brilliance and transparence. They are disposed as isolated individuals those stand on a matrix of small but brilliant quartz crystals, with blue tones of the chrysocolla, green for the malachite and with gypsum. A remarkable and definitive piece from this Peruvian mine.
In this specimen we can find two of the most interesting species of this Peruvian mine: clinoatacamite and atacamite. The first one is presented as pseudorhombohedral good sixed crystals, with an intense green color and translucent. Well defined faces and edges and isolated, allowing to observe them perfectly. The atacamite is presented as a tabular prismatic crystal, also with faces and sharp edges and bright green color. Matrix is covered by brilliant quartz crystals which transparence allow us to see green tones of the malachite.
This good size specimen is covered by botryoidal aggregates of chrysocolla, showing an intense blue turquoise, with greenish reflections and excellent brightness. On the crisocola we can observe small crystals of hyaline quartz, some doubly terminated, those give to the specimen a particular aesthetics. In Perú they named these samples as Blue Andean Opal.
A huge size specimen formed by a rich groups of brilliant atacamite crystals, showing elongated forms, intense green color and with transparence. We can observe several clinoatacamite crystals with pseudocubic or hexagonal forms, easy to be identified. Accompanied by scalenohedral calcite crystals, with brilliant quartz. A aesthetic display specimen.
A very aesthetic specimen from Lily mine showing a large group of atacamite crystals, elongated, deep green color, brilliant and transparent. Some of them are included in very sharp gypsum crystals. They are disposed on a matrix coated by light blue crisocola. We have not observed the presence of clinoatacamite. A sample with an elegant presence.
In this specimen we can find two of the most interesting species of this Peruvian mine: clinoatacamite and atacamite. The first one is presented as pseudohexagonal cyclic crystals, wiyth an intense green color. Well defined faces and edges and isolated, allowing to observe them perfectly. The atacamite is presented as tabular prismatic crystals, also with faces and sharp edges, bright green. Matrix is covered by brilliant quartz crystals which transparence allow us to see blue tones of the chrysocolla and malachite.
A rich group of lenticular gypsum crystals forming rosettes. Some of them are well developed but with another shape, lanceolated and showing swallowtail twin. These are very transparent, defined faces and edges and very aerial disposed on the matrix. Accompanied by some cubic halite transparent and colorless crystals.
Gypsum fluorescence under ultraviolet source is excellent, but the phosphorescence is the most intense and lengthy I've never seen before. An uncommon and aesthetic combination.
This specimen is very rich in lanceolate clinozoisite greenish crystals, bright and sharp. They are accompanied by groups of quartz with well-developed prism according to the main axis. A Peruvian locality not well represented in collections.
