Brilliant and sharp azurite crystals that have growth in separate vugs, with prismatic forms and defined terminal faces. With good color, luster and some transparency, one of them is partly substituted by malachite. Disposed in two cavities of this hard rocky matrix.
In Kerrouchen, a classic Moroccan mineral locality, each miner has his own "hole" and get its samples. T
here are several mines aligned on a particular stratigraphic level, with low gallery development. Miners obtain the specimens by hammering, so obtaining them in matrix it is not easy.

Disposed in a cavity of the rocky matrix. It is accompanied by another crystal, also partially pseudomorphed, having a fracture due to the contact with the enclosing matrix.
In Kerrouchen, a classic Moroccan mineral locality, each miner has his own "hole" and get its samples. This one was estracted in our visit in February 2013.
