RM1739   Epidote

Groups of fan-shaped epidote crystals, very bright and with transparency and disposed very aerial on the ophite matrix. Intense green color, brightness and transparence. It is currently prohibited to collect in this area. A sample with a good size (12 cm.) and excellent quality, from the classic town of Casterner.

An excellent specimen formed by numerous epidote crystals, from the classic locality of Casterner. Fan-shaped crystals, they are very bright and with an excellent transparence. Better in "person" than in the pictures. Samples of this quality are already few. It is currently forbiden to collect in the area.

RM1620   Epidote

A huge size and very brilliant druse of prismatic epidote crystals forming fan-shaped forms, with a deep green color. From this classic Catalan locality where nowadays it is forbiden collect specimens.

RM1246   Schorl and epidote

Rich group of schorl crystals with an intense black color, forming brilliant divergent agreggates, and disposed on a ophitic matrix with epidote crystals. This Catalan locality was well known for its epidote and axinite (Fe) specimens. Along with these species, and on the epidote, appeared from time to time groups of very dark, near black, crystals which once analyzed proved to be tourmaline: schorl.

RM630   Epidote with actinolite

On a rocky matrix of ophite we can enjoy several groups of fan-shaped epidote crystals. Intense green color and excellent brilliance. Prismatic crystals show flattened terminations. Acompanied by a layer of needle like actinolite crystals, fibrous and with a green bluish color. Specimens combining both species are uncommon because many times collectors clean specimens with water and eliminate this delicate formations. From a Catalan locality, a huge size and different aesthetics specimen.
