Specimen formed by interpenetrating cubic fluorite crystals that show well-defined cube faces and bevelled edges, with stepped and tile-like growths. With good luster, transparency and marked geometric colour zoning, ranging from sky blue inside the crystals to violet blue on the outside (very intense on some edges).
Group of fluorite crystals with curved edges and faces with tiled growths. Transparent to translucent and with a soft bluish violet zoning. An old sample from this classic Asturian mine.
These specimens from the La Viesca mine are very rare and appeared in the middle of the last decade. It is a very bright specimen formed mainly by cubic fluorite crystals with polysynthetic growths on the faces and asymmetrically beveled edges, transparent and colorless. They are accompanied by bright and well-defined chalcopyrite crystals, along with complex and transparent honey-colored crystals of sphalerite. With galena and quartz. Highly prized for their rarity.
Group of fluorite crystals with cubic habit, with good transparence that allows to see a marked color zoning. The main one, shows a cavity in which other fluorite crystals have grown. Very curious. It has a fluorite matrix with interpenetrated cubic pyrite crystals. From a classic Spanish locality.
Group of fluorite crystals, with cubic forms truncated in the edges by the dodecahedron. Brilliant to dull, transparent to translucent, with color zonation between colorless to violet depending on the type of incident light. They are disposed on a matrix with quartz crystals.
Group of fluorite crystals showing cubic faces with edges beveled by tetrahexahedron. Brilliance, transparence and with a slight bluish tint. A very aesthetic miniature from this classic fluorite Spanish locality.
Group of fluorite crystals showing cubic faces with edges beveled by tetrahexahedron. Brilliance, transparence and with a slight bluish tint. A very aesthetic miniature from this classic fluorite Spanish locality.
A curious calcite specimen that shows the top faces of the scalenohedron, with a translucent crystal core area and the outer areas colorless, highly visible at the acute termination. Well defined, brilliant and on a matrix of quartz crystals. Nice.
Superb specimen of fluorite from the mythic vein called Josefa-Veneros. A druse of fluorite crystals showing the cube faces with beveled edges by the dodecahedron. Good brilliance and intense violet color with zoning, more intense on edges. The definition of faces and edges is excellent and the crystal size more than interesting. An opportunity to get a classic from Asturian fluorite, not easy (near impossible) to be found nowadays.
Group of fluorite crystals, transparent, bright, with very sharp faces and edges and showing forms of the cube. One of the crystals has a very interesting asymmetrical face. Grayish-blue color, depending on the incident light. On an matrix covered by hyaline quartz crystals.
This specimen is formed by a group of fluorite crystals, interpenetrating, showing echeloned growths on their faces. Very brilliant and with violet color zoning, more intense in the crystal core. They are disposed on a small matrix with quartz crystals.
A very aesthetic specimen formed by a rich group of interpenetrating cubic fluorite crystals showing faces and edges of the cube well marked, with staggered and tile growths. Excellent brilliance, transparent and with an intense blue color.
Very esthetic group of fluorite crystals, transparent, with brilliance and very sharp faces and edges, showing forms the cube with the dodecahedron. Violet to bluish tone with color zoning. A miniature from a classic Spanish locality.
A rich group of scalenohedral calcite crystals showing parallel growth, with very sharp faces and edges. They are peppered by small crystals of chalcopyrite. They are accompanied by groups of brilliant fluorite crystals, with transparence, bluish tones and cubic forms truncated by the dodecahedron.
Group of cubic fluorite crystals showing well defined faces and edges, with echeloned polysynthetic growth. Excellent transparence and blue to colorless depending on light source. On a quartz layered rocky matrix. A sample with characteristics that make it very interesting for fluorite collectors and from a classic Spanish locality.
Group of cubic fluorite crystals those show defined faces and edges with very interesting staggered polycrystalline growths. Its color varies from bluish violet to purple depending on the type of incident light. Good transparency showing us some color zoning. An aesthetic specimen from a classic Asturian locality.
A floater. Group of interpenetrated cubic fluorite crystals with defined faces and beveled edges, and showing echeloned growths. Good brilliance, translucent and with color zoning between blue to violet, more intense in the crystal core and very intense in some edges. Accompanied with scalenohedral calcite crystals. A very aesthetic specimen with a good size. From a Spanish classic mine.
Group of interpenetrated fluorite crystals showing well defined faces, with delicate polysynthetic growth, and visible beveled edges. Good transparence and violet color with geometrical zoning. It presents the peculiarity of having a face that does not correspond to the predominant cube shape. On a quartz layered rocky matrix. A sample with characteristics that make it very interesting for fluorite collectors and from a classic Spanish locality.
Group of fluorite crystal showing an elongated cubic prism, beveled on edges, with excellent violet color zoning. Directionally, they are partially covered with a layer of white quartz we wanted to preserve. They are very aerial disposed on a matrix covered by small but brilliant quartz crystals. They were extracted from la "coquera" (vug) called La Negrina (the black one), that appeared between March and April, 2006.
Group of very sharp interpenetrated fluorite crystals, with cubic faces showing echeloned forms. The violet-purple color is very intense, but when light passes through them it shows transparence and color zoning, intense in the external faces of the crystal and slight green tones inside. Good luster.
This specimen, that comes from an old German collection and was collected in the mid-80 in the mining area of La Collada, is very distinctive and it isn't easy to see similar in the mineral market. Its color and disposition make it very atractive to fluorite collectors. A former classic specimen from Asturias.
