RM1249   Pyrrhotite with quartz, calcite and sphalerite

Dal'negorsk, Kavalerovo Mining area, Primorskiy Kray, Russia

Rich and good size group of pyrrhotite crystals with the hexagonal shape, very aesthetic, showing parallel growth, pearlescent and intense brown color. They are disposed on a druse of quartz crystals with sphalerite and a curious growth of calcite. An excellent classic piece.

Size: 16.5 x 11.5 x 3.8 cm.
Main crystal: 34 x 30 mm.
Found in 1990´s.
